Panicle hydrangea has been NaturePrinted a lot recently, and I have also done takuga several times.
I made Takuga on Japanese paper from Yoshino, Nara Prefecture, which is made by mixing the mucilage from the Panicle hydrangea.
I bought this paper when the Yoshino Washi studio was exhibiting and selling it at Ozu Washi in Nihonbashi, so when I had an exhibition at Ozu Washi, I exhibited a Takuga of Panicle hydrangea made on that paper.
The same plant gives a very different impression depending on the way it is printed and the material from which it is printed. It takes a lot of work, but I love both Japanese paper and Takuga.
